Who we are
Ascentra ("we", "us", "our") operates ascentrafootball.com and the Ascentra platform. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. Contact: info@ascentrafootball.com.
What we collect
- Waitlist: email address.
- Athlete applications: name, email, age, country, position, club, highlight URL or video, and your written answers.
- Account data: email, name, authentication identifiers (e.g. Google/Apple ID).
- Usage data: aggregated, anonymous traffic data via Plausible Analytics (no cookies, no personal identifiers).
How we use it
- To review applications and operate the platform.
- To send transactional emails (confirmations, status updates).
- To improve the product and our scouting decisions.
- To comply with legal obligations.
Legal bases (GDPR): performance of a contract, our legitimate interests, your consent (where required), and legal obligation.
Minors (under 18)
Ascentra accepts applications from athletes aged 8–21. If you are under 18, you must have your parent or legal guardian's permission before submitting an application or uploading any video. By submitting, you confirm that consent has been given. Parents or guardians can email us at any time to review, correct, or delete a minor's data.
Sharing
We do not sell your data. We share it only with service providers who help us run Ascentra (hosting, email delivery, analytics, video storage), all bound by confidentiality and data-processing terms.
Retention
We keep application data for as long as your application is active and for up to 24 months after a decision, unless you ask us to delete it sooner. Account and waitlist data is kept until you ask us to remove it.
Your rights (GDPR / UK GDPR)
You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your data, and to object to processing or withdraw consent. To exercise any of these, email info@ascentrafootball.com. You can also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Security
We use industry-standard hosting, encryption in transit, row-level security in our database, and limited access controls. No system is 100% secure, so we encourage you to use a strong, unique password.
